Case Study 6. Labour Issues

The Client

A multinational automaker with global revenue in excess of USD 30 billion.

The Problem

The firm's European HQ, responsible for the lion’s share of production and management of its European distribution network, faced a sustained and hostile threat campaign. Disruptive tactics and falsified media reporting were used to destabilize the workforce and supply chain partners. This pressure had potential to cause significant reputational and financial damage to the global business.

The Outcome

We deployed proprietary social media collection and analysis tools - supported by human source input from political contacts - to discreetly obtain highly sensitive information, including:
  • The identity and relevant affiliations of the external threat actors
  • The identity of the influential and agitating internal actors
  • The long term strategy, goals and plans of the campaign
We successfully worked with our client to formulate strategies to combat and neutralize the ongoing threat; minimise reputational impact; and to protect their financial position. All our work was conducted under the radar of the media.
